Although I wore this makeup look on Christmas day you could wear it for any occasion if you like or just everyday. I went with a really neutral eye and a bolder lip which I loved! Just to add the earrings I am wearing were half price from Tesco last month and I love them!
I normally start with my eye makeup and for this look I only used 3 shadows all of which are from Makeup Geek. I put the colour Crème Brulee in the crease which on the website is described as medium sand. It is a matte shade which is a brilliant transition shade if you are doing a more complex look. I have a little bit of the shade Americano in the outer-v just to darken it up slightly. Then across the lid I have the shade Shimma Shimmer which is my favourite shadow of the 31 shades I own in my Z Palette - look out for a post about this soon! For eyeliner I used the L'Oréal Super Liner in Perfect Slim in the black shade creating a cat wing. For my waterline I used the Scandaleyes Kohl liner in Black from Rimmel to darken that area up.
The mascara I used was the They're Real Mascara in black and put 2 coats on my bottom and top lashes. I then applied false lashes using my Ardell lash glue in clear. The false lashes I wore were the Tanya Burr ones in Date Night.
For my base makeup I used the Porefessional primer from Benefit. I love this for filling in some large pores I have in my nose area. I then used some of the L'Oréal Lumi Magique primer to make my skin look a little more luminous! For foundation I used the L'Oréal Infallible Foundation in the shade Porcelain - the one in the glass bottle not the matte version. I blended this into the skin using the Pro Beauty Blender. I also used my Beauty Blender to blend in my MAC pro-longwear concealer under my eyes in the shade NW15 setting in place using the Stay Matte Powder by Rimmel.
To contour slightly and to add a Bronze I used my brand new Benefit Cheek palette I got for Christmas using the Hoola Bronzer on my cheeks, temples, forehead and under my chin...no one wants to see a double chin. For blush I also used the same palette and used a little bit of the Rockateur blush on the apples of the cheeks bringing it towards my ear slightly to blend the blush and bronzer together. My favourite part on to the highlight... I used the Makeup Geek eyeshadow in the shade Shimma Shimma again. This works perfectly as a highlight and brings the eyes and face in together.
For brows I used the Freedom brow pomade in the shade Soft brown and did my usual brow routine, filling in the sparse areas and adding a little bit more shape to them as my natural brows are really thin.
Finally on to lips... I did not use a lip liner with this look as I don't yet own a lip liner in the right shade for the lipstick. I am using the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in the shade Funk and just followed the natural shape of my lips... I am NO GOOD at over lining.
